When I was younger if a few of us were going to a music festival (for instance) one would drive while the other four passengers would get drunk on carry-outs, but I think I only drove once; I preferred to let others do the driving if there was a choice between the two.

Yes. My mother carried a juice glass of wine with her in the car when she got older. She took a sip of it when her chest would hurt. I never knew how I would explain it to the police, but I let her do it.

Yes. In many countries it is not illegal; as long as the driver is sober (and not unduly distracted by the passengers) then there's no problem. Happens in the back of limousines all the time, now I think about it...
