You never new your b/f or g/f wore contact lenses and just how bad there eyesight was until they returned form your batchroom wearing glasses would you compliment there glasses and also say i never knew you wore glasses and had such bad eyes?

I wouldn't say anything about bad eyes, but would compliment the glasses. I like the way glasses look if they match the facial lines.

There might be a slight element of surprise but I wouldn't make a big deal out of it. I'd be a little more tactful and say "I had no idea you wore glasses" not "I didn't know you had bad eyesight" the difference may seem subtle to you but it's huge when it is said to you if you're sensitive about it.
