  • I nearly did along time ago. The radiologist misread the X-ray plates, convinced the surgeon and the oncologist that I had a malignant tumour, performed a major operation and gave me a medicine that I was highly allergic to. 1 person in 1000 people have a very bad reaction to this medicine and die from it. I happened to be the 1 person in a 1000. I was lucky to survive. And as a post-script, I didn't have a tumour at all!
  • Unfortunately yes. The case was of wrong diagnosis. A 37 year old woman lost her life because of wrong treatment due to wrong diagnosis. The trouble was there were so many specialists involved - all except the right specialist for the condition. None of the other specialists could refer the patient to the correct specialist because none of them suspected what could be wrong. She was under wrong treatment for 1 year before she lost her life to incorrect treatment. It was a valuable life. She had two pre-teen children.

  • Two people that I know about. My closest friend. He was unattended after the surgery.He never got out of the recovery room. There were no doctors on call. Me!
