  • I have a law degree, but I am not a practicing attorney at this time, nor am I a current member of any state bar association. Having stated that "disclaimer," it is my personal opinion that because 911 telephone calls are a matter of public record (recordings are frequently used as evidence in a courtroom and heard on TV and radio news programs), that you could probably, as a private citizen, obtain written transcripts or actual copies of official recordings, under the USA "Freedom of Information Act." Details on the FOIA request process are here: http://www.rcfp.org/fogg/index.php?i=pt1#b Details about the FOIA itself, are here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_Information_Act_(United_States) I hope the above is helpful to you.
  • A website to obtain information about 9-1-1 calls and the information transfered between departments and the actions taken by the departments? No. There is a limited amount of the information that you are even able to obtain as a private citizen.
  • You won't find it on the web. Almost everything done at the local 911 centers is considered public information. You would need to make a public records request specifying exactly what you want. They'll be able to keep some stuff from you, but not all of it.
  • 911 calls are public information, to a degree. 911 calls are not meant to be for your entertainment. There has to be a specific need for a specific date and time segment. There are also request forms to be completed. Restrictions are placed on 911 calls for liability reasons and you can understand why.
