  • The zone you're referring to is actually single disputed territory that both Iraq and Saudi laid claim to. However, in June of 1991, Saudi registered their disputed territory border with the United Nations. Legally, that neutral territory no longer exists. The US Office of the Geographer, when creating official maps of the world, still shows that territory, though.
