I don't know what kind of music you like but you could get double points for "Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner" by Iron Maiden. It was originaly a lengthy poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge in 1797-98 with an awesome "moral of the storey" type ending. Although Iron Maiden paraphrased most of it in their musical remake back in '87, they still kept the storey line and the moral intact up to the end. Look up and read the lyrics.

"Holiday in Cambodia" by Dead Kennedys. I take it at face value as a warning not to believe the leftist teaching of many of your teachers.

"Cats in the Cradle" by Harry Chapin This song means a lot to me. When it first came out I was a teenager and I used it to connect with my Father, who was working himself to an early grave. It stresses the need for family connections by showing the folly of not having any. Hope this helps.

There is a spoken-word recording set to music by Les Crane from 1971 of a poem by Max Ehrmann called "Desiderata". It reached #8 on the Billboard charts. It is basically the instructions for attaining happiness in life. The message is so strong that many people have this poem framed and hung on their wall.
