French health officials are considering implementing a law which bans the promotion of eating disorders. This includes a rule that magazines reveal the extent to which their pictures have been airbrushed. They believe readers are left feeling insecure and ashamed after viewing such images. I believe authorities in other countries should also discuss this and implement something which could positively affect media. It could also engender positive body image for young people.
