Men, which razor would you use? A regular kind or a electric one? What are the pros and cons of using a electric razor?

Mach 3 from Gilette. Disposable razors are too hard on my skin and electric razors dont seem to cut close enough. Mach 3 gives the best shave.

I'm switching to the old style double edge razors. You can get quality blades at a much cheaper price, and you get much closer shaves, with less damage to the skin. Electric razors don't shave close enough for me, disposables aren't very good on the skin, and the big name standard razors (Wilkinson Sword, Gillette) are very expensive for what you get. You don't get very good shaves as the razor blunts pretty quick, and shaving bumps aren't uncommon!

I prefer a regular razor, but electric razors have the convenience of on-the-go shaving, but I don't think they shave very close, but i haven't used one in years - they might have gotten better over the years!

I used to wet shave but changed to electric, i just think its quicker, plus you can walk around whilst shaving and do stuff with an electric.

Gilette fusion if i haven't been shaving for awhile but i use an electric to maintain myself during the week.

Ok, this may sound odd, but yes. I shave my neck in the shower with a fusion power. I can also go up the jaw/sideburns with it. If I use it on the cheeks or towards the mouth, I seem to get festering hairs that takes forever to heal. In general, I use a Panasonic or Braun. I like the Panasonic because I can just wash it and the Braun because the charger is also a cleaner. I think the Braun cuts closer, but doesn't do an overall better job. I leave these in car to shave at lights. I don't need to have hot water and can run out to the car if I missed a spot prior to a meeting. They don't do a good job on the neck and always leave a few right at the adams apple. They also don't do great on a weekend beard. They tend to pull more and it takes longer to get back to near smoothness. I also have a Norelco. This does a much better job on the neck, but will also burn it. It also cuts down the weekend beard with few tugs. After a campout I will use the Norelco followed by one of the others to get a smoother shave.
