yes, "CREED" by James Herbert!! had me on me toes a few times!! ;-)

" The Great and Secret Show " by Clive Barker A third of the way into the book, I had to put it down for an entire year. For me, with this book, I felt I had crossed over the line from a scary horror book into a totally new experience of reading a work of frighteningly pure evil. No book had ever crossed that line before -- or since. Barker is an amazing author. I did finish the book -- excellent read. Yes, I still was scared. :)

Yes. Most recently "The Shining" by Steven King. Even if you've seen the movie it's a great read. I have a lot of Steven King in my library. I find most of his stuff is incredible.
