Have you ever reread a book you read as a kid,only to find it wasn't as good as you thought it was as a kid?

Yes of course quite a few are not as good One that I reread often is Good Wives. Louisa M Alcott Every time I get to tthe Chapter Valley of tears where Beth dies I still really cry. That book is as good now as when I was a young child.

The first book I ever read was "war of the worlds" by H.G. Wells. Years later I read it again and wondered why it spurred my imagination?
