Help answer this question below.
Yes of course quite a few are not as good
One that I reread often is Good Wives. Louisa M Alcott
Every time I get to tthe Chapter Valley of tears where Beth dies I still really cry.
That book is as good now as when I was a young child.
I use to read Sweet Valley High series..I am going to guarantee if I reread them now that I am 30; they would totally suck:) Like For Real:)LOL:P
The first book I ever read was "war of the worlds" by H.G. Wells.
Years later I read it again and wondered why it spurred my imagination?
Yes, it has happened to me.
" Are You My Mother?" - " Put Me in the Zoo " " Caps For Sale " and " Where the Wild Things Are " - - all hold up extremely well for me :)
Are biographies or autobiograhies more accurate? Do you recommend any worth reading?

Thank you :)
I wonder what I wrote that deserved downrating or was it tactical.

Aw, Firebrand. You're as sappy as I am. I am a prime target for animal abuse commercials, too. Say, did you ever read Where The Red Fern Grows? That book still makes me cry.

Thanks Phill. Happy Birthday. Did you see all you Birthday questions?
I am hopeless as far as anything bad goes.I cannot cry for myself but I cry for others happiness or sadness. The silliest of things make me cry :)
by Firebrand on March 19th, 2009
I am embarrassed to pieces to admit it, but I cry over soooo many things. It's hard to maintain my dignity when things make me well up all the time. Even the thought of the Rainbow Bridge brings tears to my eyes.
Yes! A lot of great folks have shown up to say hello. What a nice bunch of folks AB has. I have always said that. Very, very giving.

Well there are certainly a lotof nice people and they behave how they are treated I have always found .You are nice to people.:)
by Firebrand on March 19th, 2009
I have to be honest with you, Firebrand. Sometimes I struggle with it. And once in awhile I don't succeed. At least I work on it.
by Phillis - Zacks little sister on March 19th, 2009
We all have that problem Phill when we want to make a sharp remark . It can be hard to be nice sometimes :)
by Firebrand on March 19th, 2009
Well here's a Q for ya......how come you don't seem to ever lose the battle? You, Rosie, et. al......all you guys seem to be able to resist it better than I do. I try really hard, too!
by Phillis - Zacks little sister on March 19th, 2009
I am sure even Rosie and I make sharp remarks on occasions . I have in the past been described as having a tongue like a razor. We all have off times. I am not very good at suffering fools so sometimes now when I see things in questions that I find annoying I just stay away from them.
by Firebrand on March 19th, 2009
I go back and forth with the AM I PREGNANT questions. Some days I am weaker than others. I have never once seen you speak a cross word to anyone. I hope I don't appear happy that you have, but at least I can better gauge myself. Thank you for that :) What a gift :)
by Phillis - Zacks little sister on March 19th, 2009
Oh I can assure you I have, do not feel you are the only one :) Rosie does not suffer fools either.:)
by Firebrand on March 19th, 2009
Well! I am going to put that in my pipe and smoke it. I am very surprised. I guess I'm not as rough as I thought I might be on here. That is a very pleasing thought. I am relieved and hopeful :)
by Phillis - Zacks little sister on March 19th, 2009
We are nice most of the time and not too bad the rest. That is all any of us can hope for Phillis, and you are no different to any of us long termers.:)
by Firebrand on March 19th, 2009
Thank you for that. It isn't the first time you've talked me back from the ledge :)
