I think you have to judge by looking at your own hand. When I went ring shopping, I wanted a large stone but when I tried a variety of rings on my rather small hands, the large stones just look stupid. Wish I had larger hands but, that's the luck of the draw. I would suggest, trying on different sized stone on your own hand. Like me, you may not look well with a large stone.
