  • I refuse to eat the stuff myself. However, I have it on authority from the drunk Russian lady who I have found passed out in the elevator of my dad's building (we're talking high rent district too, so this is unusual). . .that it is. Does the opinion of someone who is Ukranian count? Surely it does and she says yes. Another Russian I consulted says it's eh (or however she makes that noise). Sorry can't answer in Russian (or Ukranian for that matter).
  • ое мнение что русский caviar НАХОДИТСЯ над rated. Я считаю его для того чтобы быть битом слишком fishy и salty для моего вкуса. Дайте мне славный аляскский caviar любой день. Или улучшайте но - как о славном sushi? My opinion is that Russian Caviar IS overrated. I find it to be a bit too fishy and salty for my taste. Give me a nice Alaskan Caviar any day. Or better yet - how about a nice sushi?
  • All caviar is over rated.
  • I personally think it's not overrated relative to other caviar because there's no passable substitute. If I could get the right taste performance out of something cheaper, then I'd say that Russian caviar was overrated, but that's just not the case in my experience. I use it only on rare occasions, but if I couldn't afford the good stuff, then I wouldn't have it at all - that's what I'm basing it on.
