Good question. On thing I would decide on is what type of business are you going to have. By this I mean a product based business or a service based business. I have a business and it is service based and it is much easier to run that my wifes product based business. With products you have inventory, cost of good, margins, and a whole host of other things you need to keep track of not only to run the business but for tax purposes. As for starting the business there is alot of info out there but one thing I would recommend is that you get an LLC. By forming limited liability company you get certian tax breaks, but most of all if your get in trouble financially your personal assets are protected.
