Did you ever read the book DUNE, by Frank Herbert? Perhaps you saw the movie instead - too bad, it glossed over much of what DUNE was about - resources in the future. Would I drink it? Get ready to understand, you probably are already drinking something like that now.

Sure, there's all kinds of chemicals in the water we drink anyway
-
Oh, Waterworld, eh?
-
Meh, if they say it's clean, I would drink it.
-
I hate to tell you this, but most of the tap water we drink is processed in a similar fashion.

The unit is mainly nothing more than a very expensive filtering and distilling unit. The Astronauts could probably use it as a still and make booze. I wouldn't put that past the Russian astronauts.

Its still Pee. I was at a sewer treatment plant once and the man showing us around took a drink of the afterproduct to show us it wasn't harmful. Man with the smell in the area I dont care how clean it was, it was still sewage in my book.

Not if I didn't have to!

not a chance in helll lol
-
That's what we drink every day. Isn't that exactly what rain is?
-
Sure I would. Do you think they would try to do anything to harm the astronauts? That water is cleaner probably than any water I can get my hands on!
-
I would drink it if i was 300 thousand miles from earth and didnt have a choice. Im sure its 99% pure.
-
Of course. It's just a condensed water cycle. We drink water that used to be pee every day.
-
Why not? I spent much of my youth drinking straight from water hoses and mountain creeks - MUCH more dangerous.
