The word "Jew" is accurate, but due to the way it has been used by anti-Semites it is not appreciated. Eg: Jews = Jewish people Are you a Jew? = Are you Jewish? Etc.

I am not sure, but Jew seems OK. I searched and found this. Jews (Hebrew: יְהוּדִים, Yehudim; Yiddish: ייִדן, Yidn) are followers of Judaism or, more generally, members of the Jewish people (also known as the Jewish nation, or the Children of Israel), an ethno-religious group descended from the ancient Israelites and from converts who joined their religion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jew

just Jew. It's like saying Muslim.

Christians don't mind being called Christians so why should Jews mind being termed Jews? It's a corruption of Judah, the ancient tribe that most modern people of the Hebrew faith are descended.

The way I've heard "Jew" used usually sounds kinda negative. I usually use Jewish. Seems a bit nicer and not as rough. It's the same word, but it doesn't flow as much to me. I suppose it all depends on your tone and how you use it. (Edited: I added more to it)

I'm not Jewish. It seems to me that "calling" someone "a Jew" is offensive for a variety of reasons but most Jewish people would consider themselves more than "a Jew". I would consider being "a Jew" a feature rather than a definitive label. So ... if the context means someone is a stereotype than it would be offensive. IMHO
