First of all - love isn't all about sex. The first heat of desire will die off after a while and that is scientific/brain-chemical fact. You may not even still 'fancy' your partner over the years, but you will still love them. My Mum and Dad are 90 and 86 and have had a very volatile marriage over the years but now, knowing one of them won't be around for much longer, I can see their love is even stronger. They haven't had sex for many years but they are devoted to caring for each other in these later years. In fact, I never realised just how much 'in love' they are until recently - it quite amazed me. Total acceptance of each other's foibles and totally unselfish.
