  • The place I live NOW smells like mold - a viral steaming cesspit of fungal nastiness. That's central Indiana. (Indianapolis) My "hometown", Chicago, smells like the inside of someone's sneaker. Not great, but familiar. My adopted home, Eastern Wisconsin, smells like fields of new mown hay, it smells like rarified lake air, it smells of dairy farms and chicken coops. What does YOUR hometown smell like?
  • Mostly, nothing. Occasionally it smells like manure (from the farms nearby).
