If you list something for free on a site such as craigslist or freecycle and someone wants to pick it up, how long should you wait before you offer it to somone else? My living room is full of things people promised to pick up.

First come first serve usually takes care of that

if they have not come get it out to someone who probably needs it more they will be sure to get it quick.

My general approach would be to make an appointment (specific day, approximate time) for pickup. If the recipient blows that off, I'd reschedule. If they blow that off, sorry, they've lost their shot. You should not hold your life hostage to people who are getting FREE STUFF from you....:-D...

It depends on how much you need the space. I think one week is good enuff.
