I often go to unanswered questions and answer them. I once answered a two year old unanswered question just to prove a point raised in the question that a questions in the AB will remain active even after 2 years. Unfortunately there was no feedback. When I checked I found that the person who had posted the question had not participated in the AB activities for over a year!

I look to see how old they are but I also look to see if the person asking the question is still active on AB. If they haven't been around for awhile I usually don't answer.
-
I have answered questions that old many times. There are a lot of "old" questions on this site that still periodically get new answers. Sometimes I don't notice how old a question is, especially if there is recent activity (new answers and comments).
-
If I like the question I answer it. I seldom look at the date.
-
No I rarely look at the date it was asked and or the number of members who have answered. I answer all question that interest me.
-
Usually I don't look but sometimes I do.
-
I dont look at the date.
-
I do look at the date, and if the quality of the question is questionable, I check the profile of the questioner to see how AB active the questioner is, if at all. I've seen ABer's offering the questioner their time-consuming advice and worthy counsel, or seeking clarification, when the questioner hasn't been seen in ages....e.g., "Member since October 4, 2007...Last seen: October 4, 2007"! On several occasions, I've noted that the questioner was a "hit-and-run" one day member. I find that a waste of AB Members' time...and I often post an advisory answer to that effect, so well-intentioned AB Members don't waste their good time, enegy and points on someone who, virtually, no longer exists with us.

I haven't been a member very long so even the old questions look new to me.

I've only started noticing the submission date recently. I still answer the question if I can.
