Because, frankly, it's cool. Yes, there's a better than average chance that I'll end up with a whole in my neck by the time I'm 55. And yes, by the time they shove my yellowed, stinky 60 year old corpse into a casket cancer will have eaten my lungs. But you know what? I'm okay with that. Smoking is fun. It's a great way to have little three minute conversations with people you'd never otherwise talk to. Cigarettes go great with alcohol and I'm 10 pounds lighter than I was before I started smoking. Plus, there are few better ways of starting a conversation with a girl than offering her a light. So, let's see, cigarettes have made me more social, more intoxicated, skinnier and sexier. And that's just sweet.
