  • On line shopping.
  • I don't need one. I have a couple and have never used them. No point in spending money which isn't mine. If I want something I will save up for it. In fact if I ever need money in an emergency it's always there because I save. Credit can be a scourge to those that don't know how to use them. We got by before they became popular and we could still get by without them now.
  • you do not NEED it... But it does make life a little simpler. -You cannot reserve a room without one. (hotel) -You have a hard time shopping on-line. -Great to have in case of emergencies. (Car breaking down) -Saves you from putting a HUGE deposit on a Car rental (if they would even let you take a car without a CC)
  • for convenience and peace of mind
  • to establish credit, for emergancies, and so you dont have to carry around cash.
  • to order medicine through my medical plan
  • Mostly to buy things online. If you get ripped off the credit card will pay you the money back.
  • I do not have any credit cards as I feel if I can not pay for it I do not need it.
  • I never had a credit card. Although it is an inconvenience at times, like when trying to rent a car or buy online, I feel I really don't need one. I live simply and have minimal needs - I pay cash or check. If a person or business will not accept that - phooey on them.
  • If you want to buy something and you don't want to pay or spend a lot of money in one day.
  • To build up mileage to fly anywhere I want. I use my card almost exclusively and pay it off every month. I imagine I'm lucky I can do that. I haven't paid any interest on it for over 15yrs and have been able to fly from SFO to HON round trip a couple of times now for free.
  • I have no problem living in Uk without one - but found that life was one big inconvenience when I went to usa without one! Even though I had paid for hotels in advance, I had to give a credit card on arrival - had arguments in every single hotel!!! In one, they finally let me leave a cash deposit, but in all the others, they insisted on having my credit card details - and these were not small hotels - they were all 4* ! Could not go anywhere without the credit card! I have not been back to usa since
  • I have not had a credit card in 33 years. I went stupid on the first MasterCard I ever had and once that was paid off, I vowed no more credit cards. For one thing, I'm paying that kind of high interest rate to use someone else's money for a month. For a second thing, it is just too easy to get sucked into that never-ending cycle of credit card debt.
