The honest answer is that the names of the Knights of the Round Table changed over time. The old story of Culhwch and Olwen names people like "Sight, son of Seer" and "Strength, son of Strong" among Arthur's knights. The list expanded to incorporate old local tales in the places the legend reached or so that authors had an opportunity to invent their own material instead of having to re-tell well known stories. The three with the best chance of historical accuracy are Kay (Kai/Cai/Cei), Bedivere (Bedwyr) and Gawain -- Gwalchmai, in the old Welsh tales. There's also Lancelot, Owain/Ywain, Agravaine, Gareth, Gaheris, Dinadin, Tristan (only added in later tales), Percival/Peredur, Bors, Ector, Lamorak, Lionel, Geraint, Galahad and Mordred. The list goes on to include many more.

I can remember one which King Arthur. There is a book called The Timewrop trio; Knight of the Round Table. It's a short story and quite fun to read.
