  • I don't see how being mentally handicapped could condemn anyone to hell.
  • It's possible that people who "just can't help themselves" were made that way by God to make sure they don't get "saved".
  • Apparently the translation of "sin" is incorrect (Eckhart - A New Eart). Its not what we are led to believe now. But its about making the "wrong" decisions. So maybe the mentally challenged have a chance yet. Personally I believe that we all just bio-degrade in the ground and get eaten by worms. Our molecules broken down and recycled throughout the earth.
  • That's a good question and I believe that redcatt63, is using that same "likeness" that God created us in! Allow me to give you scripture...The theif on the cross...now Jesus has told us that in order to be saved, we must be baptized. Was the thief on the cross? Yet, he was told that he was going to be saved...Revelations 2:24-25 is a good one to read about people who are in that situation, to do the best with what they have. Recall that in the Bible, one of the laws that God made BEFORE Isreal possessed a king was that a man that killed another man on accident was to have a place of safety from them revenger of blood. All to often, the word sin and err are mixed up. Sin is on purpose whereas err is a pure accident. I hope this helped! foundthisone@yahoo.com
  • Yes. God doesn't understand reason besides, he gave free will to all mankind, retarded people are part of that equation, there are no exceptions to god's rules
  • Only if you committed a sin knowingly.
  • First and foremost, God is a God of mercy. I don't know how He chooses to handle that particular instance. The Bible doesn't talk about that specific circumstance, probably because medicine wasn't then what it is now and not as many of those babies survived, God is first and foremost a God of love and mercy and I'm sure He makes some provision for that.
  • no way
