  Any ideas on what this movie might be. The movie is set in some ancient/old times, where a man was exchanging messages with his lover using carrier pigeons, and then when finally he arrived at her country to meet her, another woman used magic to decieve him into loving her, afterwards he was killed but the truth was told to his true lover and when she knew the that he always loved her the things were out of his hand, she went to the boat that his body was kept in and while the soldiers were throwing fire sticks on the boat that is filled with ashes to burn his body, she then appears inbetween this fire and fires a sword through her stomach to die alongside him.   I have a trip to Paris planned with my parents, girlfriend and her daughter (9yo). Recently we found out that my father has prostate cancer and will need to undergo radiation treatment.   I had know this man 38 years ago, I thought of he and the people we knew throughout the years. We lived in the same state but not the city.
