  • I've made grape wine, wild cherry wine and dandelion wine.
  • my folks did when i was a kid and i did once using a wine making kit i bought. i enjoyed using the beer brewing kit better though ;)
  • I made some beet wine. Wow was it good. I bottled it and forgot it. It popped a cap to remind me it was there. It really needed drinking after that. Weeeeeeeee.
  • No, but my mom has told me that her step-dad used to.. But it always went bad lol. I did know someone who made homemade moonshine.. WHOOOOOOOW!! (O.O)
  • No, however a neighbor a few years ago told me how but the recipe seems more for the "punch" than the flavor lol.
  • Not personally, but my ex-in laws did. Right through from growing the grapes. Dont know whether it was and international superstition thing or an Italian wine making superstition, but I was pulled aside by the MIL and asked if it was "that time of the month" for me. I was SOOOOOOOOOOO embarrassed! Had NO idea why she was asking til it was explained to me later lol, that it was bad luck to help with the making of the wine if it was. The wine really was only good for cooking - great in lasagne and pasta dishes, but NOT from a glass!
  • Not wine. I've made vodka, though. Very simple and I got pretty good at getting a potent drink that you could choke down without dying. My friend HATES vodka due to an experience as a child but he could shoot it straight. The secret is either lemon or lime rinds in the pot while distilling. I just chopped up whole lemons, you dilute your vodka a little (very little) with lemon juice, but you get a very palatable drink. We generally hit 20-25% alcohol. You cannot feasibly get above 30% with a homemade kit.
