Yes, they seem to be going downward since their earlier stuff, but they still have the innovation the rap genre was missing. Twiztid and Esham though, they never seem to get old.

No, because their music is horrible and their image is even worse. Some of the things they "sing" about are just disgusting.

Absolutely. People who brush them off too quickly for lyrics/content don't really understand that they are ENTERTAINERS. In the musical equivalent of horror movies or books genre. Think if Steven King wrote an album instead of a book called "IT". While I don't particularly find them to be stellar musicians, they are unusually cool with their fans and their live shows are an experience not to be missed. I don't listen to ICP regularly but I catch every show that comes through town.

I think it's so over-the-top it's hilarious. System of a Down has some fun music, too, (think "Sugar" or "Revenga") but they're more serious in other songs. If I'm feeling really silly, I'll listen to Mindless Self Indulgence (MSI). I listen to less of that type of music, but it can be a quick pick-me-up if I don't want to listen to DDR or bad pop music. (Old boybands, mostly. Backstreet Boys, Hanson, etc. bring out the LOLs!) I've only seen one music video of theirs ("All the Way" or whatever... it was a cover) and switched the channel.

I used to listen to them when I was a teenager, but then I grew up, and had kids, and I don't think that ICP's lyrical content is suitable for kids at all... The school system would probably disapprove of a kindergartner walking around singing the lyrics to Toybox.

I love ICP. They truly have a meaning behind everything they say, and it's something i follow every day of my life. They don't look stupid, you just think that they do because they're more unique than the some of the artists you listen to-- I'm down with the clown for LIFE.
