You can use a cotton cloth for cleaning the dust of your jewelry. For cleaning the dirt off your silver jewelry you can use water and your domestic detergent
Then rinse it with warm water and baking soda which will clean the stains on jewelry if are any. You can then polish it with a polishing cloth which will bring back the shine to your jewelry.

If you are sure it is real sterling silver then you can use tooth paste and TP. I have used this for years on all my silver, it makes my Tiffany jewelry look like new! But it has to be paste, the white stuff. Not gel. I have a silver jewelry rag for when I am in a rush and it works pretty well too. But you should know that if its not sterling then the toothpaste will ruin it.
