I enjoyed it. Several interesting characters - and life situations. The plot moves along as the characters meet and interact. But it's a musical afterall .. and I think the music and lyrics help vs detract from .. the storytelling. That opening number is powerful and sticks with you long after the stage performance or the film .. is over. I'd give it a 4 out of 5.
