If you had a small dog I guess it would be physically possible, but even if it was physically possible, the resulting progeny would likely not survive due chromosomal issues, or it would not be able to procreate itself. Mules are a cross between a donkey & a horse, and they are infertile.
-
Now that would be a weird looking animal. What would you call it a dat or a cog?
-
Have you ever seen a Cat-Dog hybrid? Think really hard now.....
-
Is that what it's come to?
-
No way jose!
-
Now I'm seeing the end of time.
-
My dog is always all over the cat... but they're both female. lol
-
they can try---lol-----smile and enjoy the night
-
Not if the 'cat' has anything to say about it!
-
Of course they can. Just not with each other.
-
They can certainly try, but they are incompatible species and cannot breed with each other.
-
Mating is possible, though not very likely, breeding is not possible.
-
I did actually read somewhere once that a cat had a litter of half kittens half puppies, and there was a picture to prove it! I'm being serious - they were suckling from the cat mum and they did look like puppies... was it a freak of nature or was it photoshop? lol
-
it definitely wouldn't work with a female cat and a male dog... there are two barbs on the end of a male cat's penis that are specially designed/evolved to facilitate the release of the female's eggs for fertilization. genetically speaking it would be easier for a human and a dog to procreate. yuck?!? but true.
-
Have you ever seen one? A Cat-Dog Hybrid?
-
They might be able to have sex but they will never pro-CREATE anything. They aren't even in the same animal family.
-
No
-
Absolutely not, under any natural circumstances.
