  • My dog did this for a while, licked the paint right off my wall, through the drywall and down to the stud. I did not know why he was sitting in that corner for so long until i saw. I bought chew toys and tastey treats the next day and he really hasn't done it since. I think they do it when they are bored and need something to do. They sniff around find an interesting smell and lick away. Either wash the spot where they lick or buy some bitter pepper spray and spray the item. They hate pepper.

  • My corgi, Lolly, does that. From what I read, it means they are uneasy or bored. Get a Kong (it's a red toy that you stuff with doggie peanut butter or treats) it takes them hours to get into it so it keeps them busy. Also, but some rawhide bones out, my Lolly loves them. =)
