Usually white collar workers, but there are exceptions to the rule.

There is a lot of overlap in salary ranges. I know blues that make $100k per year and whites that make $30K. Generally speaking, though, there is more potential for a higher salary in a white collar position. Back in the day (when the term was coined) white collar workers were usually clerks and made little. Clearly, the businesses that make what they sell must have someone to: a: Sell it (white collar) and b: make it (blue collar). c: cut shipping documents (white collar) d: ship it (blue collar) A business without both, is like a Navy vessel without Marines on it :)
