  • And if Venice is Sinking by Spirit of the West (Accordian is in alot of their music as they stray from rock to folk to punk to traditional) http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playlistId=30940431&s=143441&i=30940675 The video is of Home for a Rest...named Canada's #22 best song EVER by the CBC! (and it has Accordian!)
  • The drummer can sit on it.
  • I think that Weird Al Yankovic has done leaps and bounds to improve the reputation of accordians in main stream music. He is a pioneer and done much to advance the rights of accordians in all lines of music and break that ever elusive barrier that kept them chained to polish music and Mexican music. He is truly a man with a vision, and should have his own holiday in honor of his hard work and effort.
  • Have you ever heard Pete Townshend's solo version of 'Squeeze Box'? I have it on an old album. I couldn't find anything about it on Google. The only other song I can think of is 'Cajun Girl' by Little Feat.
  • Mellencamp - Many of his songs from about Lonesome Jubilee on used an accordion and violin. He's probably done more for bringing some ... different ... instruments into rock than anyone. Check it Out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5XCVCvmalo Paper in Fire - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-YfiGQmXKs (It isn't shown very prominently in the videos, but it's there.)
  • Two John Mellencamp songs:"Cherry Bomb," and "Check It Out."
