I've never seen Craigslist actually do any promotion of anything whatsoever. Promotion is quite different from enabling.

Yes and no. It's open advertisement. They are only mildly responsible for the ads. They don't read or research the viability of all ads. Cops have set up stings through it and some escorts use it for promotion. Duality. However Pro-Escorts tend to use pro-sites. Craigslist is buyer beware.

Does make you wonder, but I think it's just a by product of the free trade available. I mean, nothing is ever going to be 100% pure.

I don't think it's CL that promotes it... exactly ....they do allow it & have the place to promote it & obviously most think it's ok since they don't stop it.
