• I think you might like it. It's kindof a western meets star wars. They travel in space with ships and stuff, and they're sortof neutral, or Rebels. They work for whoever pays. It only lasted 1 season, but I love it.

• Wasn't even a full season :( It was fantastic, and if I had a time machine I would go back in time, invest in Microsoft shares in the Eighties, then give my massive profits to Whedon to let him continue to make it. Well, obviously not all my money. Oh yeah, and Jewel Staite is truly gorgeous. I'm 24 and I have a huge teenage crush on a TV actress.

• Fox sucks, first they try closing family guy, and then firefly, what's wrong with them? But yeah, firefly is it's own show because of the writters I think, just how witty everyone is. I love the humor, because it's like my own.

• I only watch the ABC and SBS. I have yet to find any thing that isn't blatantly trashy or disinteresting on the (more) commercial channels. That's an interesting point, why does the ABC earn the 'the' in it's title, whereas no-one refers to SBS as 'the' SBS?

• I dont get either channel (SBS or ABC) where I live ... I am in the mountains ... Ten is good for Motor sport (Touring cars and Moto Gp) ... which is what I am really interested in ... We are about to get cable ... so maybe then I can watch National Geographic and Discovery Channel ... Thanks

• Kingpinn, I'm surprised somebody remembered this one. They used to rerun them in one station in the early seventies. Watched them over and over again. I think John Ritter kinda based his character Jack Tripper on Bill Bixby. I hated the movie remake. They overdid it. As to your question, I will have Jon Cryer and Woody Harrelson as the martian. There's gotta be others. I was thinking of Robin Williams and Steve Martin.

• Woody Harrelson would be a great choice. Jon Cryer would be good, if he took it down a notch. I concur with the movie remake. I never thought the TV show would lend itself to the big screen, the way The Fugitive did.

• It was also a different time then. Now every movie and story is sensationalized. Today, "My Three Sons", "Father Knows Best" and "Leave It To Beaver", etc. wouldn't even get past the 3rd month. "The Fugitive" movie compressed the whole TV series into one terrific movie. It worked because it had only one storyline. Anyway, I am glad there are TV and movie buffs here in AB. Nice to meet you, Kingpinn. Hope to see you in another Hollywood thread sometime.

• No, the FOX show "Bones", (which I realy love) is more similar in style to CSI, but it has much more interesting characters.

  "Justice" was more focused on the law, and in some episodes the lawyers defended people who were innocent; in others they defended people who were guilty (and in some, they were the prosecution)...but the audience never knew the truth until the end. After the trial was over, it would say "The Day of the Murder" or something like that, and you would see exactly what happened, in a really dramatic fashion.
