He will use the litter box without a problem but make sure it is in a quiet, secluded place. Believe it or not cats are private animals and he may object if the litter box is where others can see him do his business.
Make sure you aunt shows him where the litter box is when he goes there.
I had a cat that was an inside cat for two years and then an outside cat for about two. Every now and then he decides he wants to stay in and visit for a while. I still have the litter box and fill it up if he comes inside; he still remembers to use it so I think your cat will too.

You're reading Hi! I have had my cat Mr. Maow outside for the past 3 years. He started out inside and litter box trained. He'll be going to my aunts and staying inside. Ill he remember how to use a litter box? or will he need to be retrained?
