it's pretty hard not to. For one, alcohol is so socially acceptable that drinkers probably outnumber non-drinkers. Even if we are talking strictly illegal drugs, odds are you probably socialize with one even if one is unaware. So many pain medications that are as powerful as and in some cases stronger than "street" drugs are abused by people we would never think of as drug users. Also, people who know you feel strongly about illegal drug usage are not very likely to let you know.

Everyone has taken drugs at some point. The most dangerous drugs out there are perfectly legal. Just walk into a pharmacy and there you have it.

A little less now than I used to. About three years ago all my friends (other than those from work) were taking one thing or another .. or both.

If they are good people I would. I currently don't now though because I live in a new area and don't know anyone. But all drug users aren't dealers or thugs.

Sure. Much of the general population consists of drug users, prescription or otherwise. Drugs don't kill people. Wars on drugs kill people.

lol 'drug takers' yes but it definitely depends on the drug and the person i might not want to be around that person at all just because they bother me i just stay away from hard drugs as much as i can

I don't usually discriminate based on a person's habits. I choose my friends based on who they are, what kind of morals they have, etc. I have known users who are great people, always willing to lend someone a hand, even if they don't know them. Then I've known others who are selfish and greedy, and only care about themselves. I'd take a kind-hearted pot smoker over a self-centered, uncaring non-user for a friend any day.

No I don't. Not into drugs and not really friends with people who are, if I find out they are drug users I usually have little more to do with them.
