I think because the information provided on the internet expands the mind to new thoughts,ideas,and entertainment.It is free of commercial interruptions and many points of view are available from all sorts of web pages.It is like having a library sitting on your desk,or lap.You can easily find articles instead of sifting through endless books.You can conduct a business on the net,and not get up early to go to work.You can communicate with others around the world without paying long distance charges.You can find out what is happening in other parts of the world because US news sources do not supply such news.You can learn new cultures,new languages,and become a world citizen.

The Internet is relatively easy to access and use. Within moments, a user can sit down in front of the computer and start chatting with others online.The Internet is always there, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A sudden desire to go online can be satisfied any time of the day or night. Internet is everybody's life.

Its addictive because theres no end to the internet. There is so much stuff to look at and read about on the internet that matches ppls interests and hobbies. I love it.

Definitely... At least for a time. Once it's no longer "new" (may take a year or two), then it's not so much so. Same with AB, and certain other sites ON the internet. Consider it the same as Video Games, only with much more diverse stuff, cheaper, and individual things in it that are addicting unto themselves.

Maybe finding and absorbing knowledge is the addictive part. At least that's how it is for me. Thinking anything and finding it with your finger tips.
