Hello... I would suggest a professional cleaning with ozone. I would suggest you contact your largest used car dealer for suggestions (they need to make their cars smell like new!) or largest car detailer. You can also contact a house cleaning firm that deals in fire damage for some help as they use Ozone in their work. You can read up on this type of system here http://www.air-zone.com/shock.html

It is my understanding that smells can also linger in your heating/air conditioning vents, so you may be getting the smell from thier also!

Someone I know left a Purdue Oven Stuffer in their trunk by accident and that was foul. No pun intended. However, the smell of red wine is yummy, I would enjoy it, unless of course I got pulled over by a cop and he thought I was boozing it up in the car.

i'm trying a sheet or 2 of "bounce" right now to get rid of a white wine spill in the back seat. yesterday i let the car air out in the sun with the sunroof and windows open. if you spilled a whole gallon of red, i would imagine you would have to flush it out with water and club soda in copious amounts... may take awhile.also , i hate substituting one smell with another, particularly some of the cleaning products. example:everyone in new orleans had stinky refrigerators when they returned from 5 week katrina evacuation.it took me 4 weeks to get the odor-eating smell out. final remedy-an open container of coffee grinds!

All of the carpeting that the wine was spilled on should be easy to remove. There may be a few fasteners on the sides and the trim that runs across the trunk opening may need to be removed. Take all the carpet and padding out and then rinse it well , or get a large plastic storage tub and soak it in soap and water. Rinse with clear water and hang to dry. Good Luck

I would take it to a detail shop. Most attended car wash businesses have detail services. They will steam the seats, freshen the fabric, use detailer chemicals to remove the stains, and hopefully get all of the odor out. It should cost around $50. The sooner you do it the better. Also keep in mind that if you use the wrong chemical and don't completely remove the stain the first time, it can set permanently. So, if and when you take it in for detailing, tell them what you have used already. Good luck
