  • My parents did, my grandmom lived with us till she died last yr. She liked me to brush her long snow white hair. We talked for hours, watched movies, she told me about when she was a young girl. She made me laugh when she told me little no-no's she had done. She always smelled like White Shoulders (a perfume) and never ever went without her lipstick. It was MY pleasure to help take care of such a gentle, kind, and wise lady.:(
  • Yes, I do. My Grandmother just got out of the hospital after 2 months of being in there, and is extremely weak. I cook, clean, do the laundry, help her eat, help her bathe, and help her get in and out of bed. It's pretty much a full time job.
  • Yes, My wife and I left our home and moved into our camper in my inlaws backyard to take care of them. FIL has prostate cancer and is 83 years old. MIL has a serious heart condition and Alheimers. It's payback time, and a wonderful opportunity to repay them for their kindness over the years. We were only going to stay 3 months of so. That was a little over 3 years ago. I have learned from the experience too. I found I can be happy in a brick 3bedroom home or a 24 foot trailer. I wouldn't have passed on the experience for anything. I came out the real winner here.
  • i used to
  • No, but I may need care in a few years myself. Any volunteers? : )
