Nobody cares if your child is an honour-student. Why do people put these kinds of stickers on their car?

They think this is a reflection of what great parents they are? To show up the neighbors and their dim-witted kid? To impress the co-workers?

The same reason if you won an award or did something productive you would tell the whole dam world.

A lot of people like to display what they are most proud of. I don't really need to put anything on my car for the world to see, but I imagine that it's just a declaration of pride. I'm sure many do it to make the child feel proud, too.

Because they are proud. It also makes the kid feel good to know that Mom and Dad are proud enough to show it.

I guess for the same reason people hang their 4 year old's artwork on the fridge. They are proud. They want their kid to know they are proud.
