Well, when I look around at work, I work very closely with several black people, a couple Englishmen, an Iraqi (Kaldian), a Japanese man, Pakistani, and a German. Everyone gets along well, have the same rights, and get paid based on our experience (not race). That shows me we've come a long way.

Yes very much so, but there is always room for improvement.

Yes I believe that the country has come a very long way since 1865. There is only discrimination from a very small core of ignorance radiating to some extent to people that have little contact with other ethnicities. Most areas of out life are made up of very diverse groups of ethnicities and are more colourful and knowledgeable because of the richness of the mix

beings that the civil war was not over slavery and was about out by the time the war began im not understanding what your saying here. The civil war was over the south trying to start there own nation.

Yea i would say we have came a long ways, but we still have a ways to go as well.

You don't see lynchings, Jim Crow laws, and such nearly as much anymore, do you? I'd say yes, we have become much more accepting of other races.

Yes. It was much worse when I was growing up in the 50's and 60's trust me.
