NoFX or AFI (If you count those as rock)
-
The Tragically Hip
-
The Clash, in 1982. They were amazing.
-
Nickleback.. love it.. it was such an outstanding concert.. I can't wait until they come near my city again..
-
The Headstones.
-
The only one I have seen live was ZZ Top. It was ok.
-
The best live performance was The Moody Blues. Their vocals were spot on. They had a small orchestra with them and the music was as rich as on their albums. ZZ TOP (my all time favorite) runs a very close second, and in third would be Pink Floyd. :) Who is the best rock band that you have heard live?
-
Pink Floyd. I think
-
My Morning Jacket http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=my+morning+jacket&hl=en
-
Eric Clapton was great live. I wish he'd done a few more Cream tracks though.
-
Blue October's "Argue with a Tree" DVD. It's a recorded live concert. They are so much better in concert than in the studio. I would love to actually see them perform in person, but this was the closest thing to it for me. Right up there with them is My Morning Jacket. I actually went to one of their concerts - they rocked!!
-
Well, I've only seen 3 live concerts other then Polkaroo and friends when I was young. Tool was absolutely mind blowing! My absolute favorite! Weezer was great... yes more emo then rock but still a great show! Massive Attack was a really good show although more technoish, I really enjoyed all of the special effects... lights and so on.

As strange as it sounds, I would have to say that the bands that have supported Rod Stewart, David Bowie, and Hall and Oates (over the past three years) are honestly as good as the bands that I would see “back in the day” – the 1970’s (and I used to go to a lot of concerts). These guys have some very fine musicians backing them up.

Crowded House - Together Alone tour 1994 NEC Birmingham, and The Stereophonics in a sweaty little pit of a venue in France in 1995 - just after their first album (Word Gets Around) came out; the live version of 'More Life in a Tramps Vest' still rolls through my head.... Kelly & the lads even signed my CD insert.
-
John Cale. He's not a band, but he has a good one at his disposal.

There is nothing like a Grateful Dead concert. Or at least that's what the saying used to be.
-
Pink Floyd because of the Quadraphonic sound and Blue Oyster Cult also had Quad sound in '77. I guess now it would be like surround. But at a concert, man, killer sound.
-
Pink Floyd. Last year, we went to hear Roger Waters. Still very, very good.
-
The original Van Halen. DAVID LEE ROTH ROCKS!! WOOHOO!!
