I been with answerbag since its inception so i guess i didn't really become employee. But Joel did ask me to come work on this so I guess by invitation. Our other members in the developer team are people who were either friends of mine or Joels' and are really good at what they do for living. They are AB-Jon, AB-Adam and AB-Alex. Those are the only people I can tell you about. There are few others who work with answerbag but they are all non-devs. Rest you can read in Joel's response.
