No, you cannot sell unused stamps back to the U S Postal Service. If they were purchased in error or they are damaged, you may trade them in for other stamps of the same value, or you may pay an additional amount if necessary. For instance if you have a book of 20 stamps that you used 3 of, and then they got washed in the washing machine, then you could trade the 17 remaining damaged stamps in either get 17 more good stamps or you could get a book of stamps and just pay for the 3 additional ones. You cannot ever get money back for stamps you trade in at the post office.
