Military Police guards at the gate, a twisting road to the Guard House, beautifully manicured lawns in the on-post housing areas, uniformity of size and appearance to the houses, a Post Exchange and a Commissary, a spotlessly clean post, Motor Pools full of all sorts of vehicles, helicopter pads at varous points, perhaps a small military airfield, a military Clothing Sales Store, a Post Office, perhaps a small mall on the larger posts, firing ranges, obstacle courses, vehicle driving ranges. The list is long.
