    If the heater is located under the dash, in the center of the truck, you are going to have to take part of the dash out, in order to reach the core. its a job. Good luck.

    These are the steps to replace the heater core. Remove Or Disconnect Engine coolant. Heater hoses. Instrument panel. Rear case screws. Rear case. Screws. Straps. Heater core. Seals. Install Or Connect Seals. Heater core. Straps. Screws. Rear case. Rear case screws. Instrument panel. Heater hoses. Engine coolant. Check the system for leaks.
