Who cares? A civilized country wouldn't even have Republicans, and the Democrats would just be another right-wing opposition party.

Plenty of us already do...the majority of us, actually. The only ones that don't are the grandstanding politicians in governments all over the country, with D.C. getting the most attention on that score. And most of us are pretty damn fed up with it.

Not as long as both parties rely on trashing each other to gain support instead of standing on their own platforms.

Not until the Republicans realize they're only along for the ride anymore, or end up in the dustbin of history where they belong.
