Which would you chose if offered a slice of apple pie or slice of chocolate cake?

OK, if I have to choose...a piece of the pie, please, warmed with a nice dip of vanilla ice cream on the side, if you will. Next time, do you think you could whip up a really delicious, still-warm from the oven, bread pudding, with a really good vanilla [and lightly flavored bourbon :-)] sauce? [My Mom used to make it from leftover Danish pastries...or even doughnuts...that she let sit out to stale overnight...YUM!] I prefer favorite homemade desserts that usually can't be bought in the super market that are so good that the home baking has been made nearly extinct. It's just no longer worth all the work.

I don't understand cake, its just bread with icing on it. Unless its a sock-it to me cake(better then sex cake, whatever). Sometimes in life you just choose pie.
