Are you looking for people to do your homework?

From the first equation... 2x = 4 + 2y From the second equation, 2x = 24 - 2y. Therefore 4 + 2y = 24 - 2y... combine the y's and the constants and you get... 4y = 20 y = 5 x = 7 Remember to show your work better than I just did...

4 times 2x+2y=24? find X by putting 0 in for y. 4*2x=24 divide by 4. 2x*4/4=24/4=2x=6 /2 2x/2=6/2 x=3 Now substitute 0 for X 4*2y=24. y=3. */y=1.5.x=1.5. 2*16-2*4=4*2*4+2*(-4)=24

You could also answer it verticall by adding them together and you would have 2x - 2y = 4 2x + 2y = 24 to get 4x = 28 x = 7

I SWEAR, it's a lot of fun when you can do it on your own.
