Is it true that antidepressants can have suicidal side effects because they end up motivating someone just enough who used to be TOO depressed to go through with killing themselves?

    A very small percentage of people might experience such feelings. Anyone taking anti-depressants should be closely monitored by a doctor so they can adjust medications and/or dosages should such thoughts arise. For the vast majority of those whom therapy alone could not help, anti-depressants have been life savers.

    I took antidepressant in the past. I never had any suicidal thoughts.
